Kenny Cross BSc, MMTC, MCSP, Manager of Sumo Therapies andChartered Physiotherapist has over 25 years' experience. During this time Kenny has developed his skills to offer the best in evidence based treatments.  Also, Kenny is the proud new owner of Sumo Therapies.

He has a special interest in Sports and Manual Therapy assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. He has achieved extensive experience with neck, back, sacroiliac joint, pelvis, arm and leg injuries. Kenny's skills enable him to provide a wide variety of treatment techniques including joint manipulation, acupuncture, work ergonomics and cranial/ craniosacral therapy.

Also, Kenny's experience in sports injuries has enabled him to work as the Head Physiotherapist for Falkirk Football Club, previously the Scottish Premiership Football Team for 61/2 years. Prior to this Kenny spent 9 years in the U.S.A. as a physiotherapist developing a multidimensional approach as a manual therapist.

Husband and wife team Ruth and Kenny Cross are very excited about taking over Sumo Therapies.


Susan Mollison, Founder of Sumo Therapy Clinic, has a wealth of hands-on experience. She was awarded the Nick Carter Memorial award for contribution to Massage Services in March 2010 from her own sector, the Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation.  She uses a combination of advanced remedial massage, sports massage, NMR (neuromuscular reeducation), AIS (active isolated stretch) remedial and therapeutic techniques in her therapy and rehabilitation programme. 

Before launching Sumo Therapy Clinic Susan worked with Dr Paul Lim and his colleagues at the Ochilview Complementary Clinic. She has also worked alongside Jackie Tiernan, founder of the Jackie Tiernan Practice and Philip Yeates (physiotherapist to the Scotland football team) in Dunfermline.

Susan's knowledge and experience in Complementary Health led her to teaching Diploma courses in Swedish Massage and Remedial Sports Massage within various schools. This also led Susan into inviting various international speakers to the Falkirk and Scotland area to share their vast knowledge with Susan and other therapists. She has delivered presentations in Complementary Health to secondary schools, corporate organisations and sporting clubs.

Susan is a member of Athletes Angels allowing her to work at various sporting events i.e. Caledonian Challenge, Loch Ness Marathon etc.

She has diplomas in Swedish Massage, Clinical Aromatherapy, Remedial Sports Massage, Advanced Remedial Massage and Reflexology. Susan is a member of the Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation (SMTO) and the General Council of Massage Therapists (GCMT). 



An experienced dancer, Linzi Muir offers Advanced Remedial and Sports Massage at Sumo Therapies' clinic and corporate venues. She is a member of the Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation.

Linzi thoroughly enjoyed providing massage services at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014, and is passionate about travelling the world.

Sofie Perby is an adventurous soul originating from Sweden and has a background in Social Work. As a keen footballer when younger and as a part of a well supported team she early on experienced the great benefits of therapies like massage. When moving to Scotland she took the opportunity to retrain and further develop a genuine interest in the physical body and people's health. Sofie holds a Diploma in Swedish Massage as well as a Diploma in Sport and Remedial Massage, both acquired through Scottish Massage Schools, with an Outstanding Student Award achieved.

Being active since an early age the importance of a good diet, food and nutrition has always been a natural interest for Sofie, and she has furthered her knowledge within this area.  Football has over the years given its place to rock-climbing and hill-walking which Sofie enjoys as soon as the opportunity lies.

Sofie is a member of  the Scottish Massage Therapist Organisation, and most recently successfully completed Postgraduate Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage courses.



Amanda Baxter offers Swedish, Remedial, Sports, Advanced remedial and Thai massage.  She also provides Hot Stone therapies.  She is a member of the Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation.

Amanda uses a variety of techniques tailored to the clients needs. Incorporated in her massages are active isolated stretching, deep tissue massage techniques and structural realignment, where necessary. These all work to bring the body back into balance.

Amanda also specialises in Thai Massage having trained in Thailand and brings this ancient healing technique back to Scotland.


Caysie Coats offers Sports Therapy and Swedish Massage at Sumo.  Caysie is a fully qualified Sports, Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage Therapist.  She has an honours degree in BSc Sports Therapy with a 2:1 classification.


Iain Waugh is a qualified and insured clinical hypnotherapist and practitioner of NLP, registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNCH) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH).

His professional focus in therapy is to get you the best results in the shortest time. By helping you to make thought changes at a subconscious level, it is possible to transform your life for the better.

Iain helps people with a variety of issues from confidence building and IBS symptom improvement to phobia reversal. My specialist areas include smoking cessationstress management and weight control.

Iain offers both individual therapy sessions and Stress Management Courses. 


Ruth Cross, Clinic and Corporate Manager, enjoys the day to day running of Sumo Therapies clinic and the many corporate ventures.  She is dedicated to ensuring a high quality of care is provided. 


Claire Fernandes works part-time with SUMO as a Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. Having successfully completed her Level 2 Scottish Vocational Qualification in Business Administration, she has worked with us since March 2015.

Kirsty Hoggan is currently studying for her SVQ Level 2 Qualification in Business Administration.  She works part-time with SUMO as Reception and Administrative Assistant.  Kirsty joined the SUMO team in January 2017.
